Terms of service
Last updated: 8 October 2026
In short: ToppedUp helps you plan your training and nutrition, but it is not a doctor and its AI coach can be wrong. You choose what you connect, and your data remains yours. You pay for ToppedUp Pro through the App Store and can cancel at any time in your iPhone settings.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and ToppedUp, run by Kobe Henkens in Belgium. By creating an account you accept them, together with our privacy policy. Because you get ToppedUp from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies as well.
2. Who can use ToppedUp
- You are at least 16 years old.
- You create one account, for yourself, and give correct information about yourself.
- You keep access to your email account and iPhone secure, because they give access to your ToppedUp account.
3. What ToppedUp does
ToppedUp is an app for iPhone that:
- builds a training plan towards your goal, with structured sessions based on power or heart rate;
- calculates your daily calorie, carbohydrate, protein and fat targets, and what to eat and drink before, during and after a session;
- lets you log meals by searching foods, scanning a barcode or a nutrition label, or saving your own meals;
- brings in your rides and workouts from Apple Health and from ride files and Strava archives you import, or lets you enter them yourself;
- shows your fitness, fatigue, form, power curve, weight, recovery and sleep;
- gives you an AI coach to talk to, which can also work on your plan (see section 5);
- can put your planned sessions in your calendar through a private link, and can notify you when a new ride comes in.
Without a connection you can keep logging and changing your meals, rides, weight and settings: they are saved on your iPhone and reach ToppedUp, with your targets recalculated, once you are back online. Searching new foods, the coach and connected services need a connection. If you sign out before your changes are sent, they are lost.
We keep improving ToppedUp, so features can change. When we add something that changes how ToppedUp works with your data, such as a new connection, we update these terms and the privacy policy first.
4. Not medical advice
ToppedUp gives general training and nutrition guidance based on the information you provide and on established sports science. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment, and it doesn’t replace a doctor, dietitian or qualified coach.
- Check with a doctor before you start training hard, and always if you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant or have had an eating disorder.
- Stop and get help if you feel pain, chest pressure, dizziness or unusual shortness of breath.
- Calories, macros, training load, fitness, recovery and sleep scores are estimates.
- You decide how and where you ride, and you are responsible for riding safely and following traffic rules.
5. The AI coach
The coach answers your questions about your training and nutrition, using what ToppedUp knows about you. It can look up the weather, plan your training, add, move, change or delete sessions, save meals, update your profile and remember what you tell it. It does what you ask; when it suggests a change on its own, you accept or decline it.
- The coach uses AI and can make mistakes. Check its suggestions against how you feel and what you know.
- To answer you, your messages and a summary of your data go to our AI provider, as described in the privacy policy.
- Don’t send the coach other people’s personal data or anything you don’t want processed this way.
- To keep the coach available for everyone, there is a fair-use limit on how much you can use it per day. Normal training use stays well within it.
6. Connected services
You choose what you connect to ToppedUp, and you can stop at any time.
- Apple Health: ToppedUp reads the workouts, heart rate, power, recovery, sleep and weight you allow, also in the background when a new workout arrives. It never writes to Apple Health. You change what it may read on your iPhone in Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Health.
- Files and Strava archives: you can import .fit, .tcx and .gpx files and your Strava archive. Only import files that are yours. You can undo an import in the app.
- Your calendar: the link to your ToppedUp calendar is private. Anyone who has it can see your planned sessions, so only share it with services you trust. You can make a new link in the app at any time, and the old one stops working.
- intervals.icu and Hammerhead, once available, connect with your account there: your rides come in by themselves, and a planned session goes out to it and on to your bike computer when you ask for it. You can disconnect them in the app, and ToppedUp then removes the sessions you sent.
Connected services are run by others and fall under their own terms. Their data can be incomplete or wrong, and a connection can change or stop when they change. Data that is already in ToppedUp stays until you delete it.
7. ToppedUp Pro
- You need ToppedUp Pro to use ToppedUp. It is a subscription you buy in the App Store with your Apple Account, monthly or yearly. The App Store shows the price in your currency before you buy.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Apple charges you within the 24 hours before the renewal.
- You manage and cancel your subscription in the Settings app on your iPhone: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app or your ToppedUp account does not cancel it.
- Payments, price changes and refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
8. Your content
The rides, meals, notes, messages, photos and files you add, and the data you bring in from connected services, remain yours. You allow us to store and process them to provide ToppedUp to you, including through the providers listed in the privacy policy. Only add content you have the right to use, and nothing illegal. You can download all your data in the app (Settings, then Integrations, then Export your data).
9. Fair use
Don’t misuse ToppedUp. That includes trying to access other people’s accounts or our systems, copying the app or its content at scale with scripts, disrupting the service, using the coach to create harmful content, or reselling access to ToppedUp.
10. Availability and changes
We do our best to keep ToppedUp running, but it can be unavailable at times, for example for maintenance. When we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell you in the app before the change takes effect. If you don’t agree with a change, you can stop using ToppedUp and cancel your subscription.
11. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings, then Delete account), and your data is deleted as described in the privacy policy. We can suspend or close an account after a serious or repeated breach of these terms, and we tell you first where we reasonably can.
12. Liability
We build and run ToppedUp with care. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profits or lost data, for data from connected services, or for the results of training and nutrition choices you make, except in case of intent or gross negligence. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
13. Our rights
The app, its design, the ToppedUp name and the logo belong to ToppedUp. You may use the app for your own, non-commercial use. Apple, Apple Health and other names of connected services are trademarks of their owners.
14. Law and disputes
Belgian law applies to these terms. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of that country. If you have a complaint, contact us first; we will try to solve it with you. Otherwise, the competent court of your place of residence or the Belgian courts can decide.
